Hey guys, I am going to share how the fantastic youtube-tv show Cobra Kai has reminded me of my cult experience. You will also hear me talk about, in light of the topics of the show, my take on what I choose my response to be as someone having suffered spiritual abuse. How many times have I tried to write my experiences and musings down, get it all out, since I joined and got kicked out of an Evangelical cult… I don’t know anymore. I wanted to get a nicely structured book out there, but again and again I would get lost in the weeds of the details of the stories. So I settled for just starting somewhere. And after writing about it so much with just myself as audience, I recognized the thread that was weaving itself all throughout my story and dare I suspect, other people’s stories as well. The idea for a video series was born! In this video, the first one in the Truth In Motion Video Series on Spiritual Abuse, my dear friend of over 10 years, Ashley, interviews me on my time before, during, and after the cult. While at first it might not seem this way, my story sure is one of hope. May it bring hope to you as well!
